Mr. Mohamed Seghir is the CEO of HAYAH Insurance Company P.J.S.C. Mohamed is a fully qualified actuary from the French (IA), German (DAV) and Swiss insJtute of actuaries (SAV). He studied at ISFA (InsJtut des Sciences Financières et des Assurances) and holds a MSc in Finance and Actuarial Sciences and a BSc in Finance from Université Claude Bernard (Lyon, France). He began his career in 2007 at FWU AG in Munich, overseeing actuarial operaJons for Western Europe and the Middle East, where he developed both convenJonal and Takaful soluJons for leading banks and insurers. In 2010, he joined Munich Re as Manager of Actuarial Services for the Middle East before moving to Swiss Re in Zurich in 2013, where he held successive leadership roles — first as Senior MarkeJng Actuary for Life & Health in MENA, Turkey, and Pakistan, and later as Head of North Africa (P&C and L&H) and the Middle East (L&H). In 2018, Mohamed was appointed CEO of AXA Green Crescent in the UAE, where he successfully led a full turnaround of the company’s results. Following AXA’s exit from the Middle East, he spearheaded the transformaJon and rebranding of the company into HAYAH Insurance, establishing a new digital-first idenJty and strategic direcJon centered on innovaJon, inclusion, and sustainability.
