Mr. El Zoheiry has been in the Insurance market for more than 32 years. He also gained experience in professional indemnity insurance in the US market. Starting with ACE Egypt as a Technical manager in 2001 and heading Arab MISR insurance Group – GIG Egypt Now as a Managing Director since 2005. Mr. El Zoheiry currently holds the following roles: Chairman of the Insurers Federation of Egypt EX -Vice Chairman of the FAIR Organization since 2017 (Chairman from 2021-2025) President of the African Insurance Organization Represents the Egyptian insurance market within the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF) (Chairman in 2014) Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (since 2005) & Chairman of the Chamber's Insurance Committee (since 2008) Vice Chairman of Egyptian Takaful-Life / GIG EX Board Member of GIG - Jordan and Gulf Sigorta – Turkey Board member of GIG-Bahrain Member of the Technical Committee of AWRIS Mr. El Zoheiry has received the following industry awards: Best Insurance Man in Egypt (2014), Insurance Personality of the Year for the Middle East (2017), Professional of the Year (2021 MENA IR Awards), Insurance CEO of the Year (2022 African Insurance Awards), Re/Insurance Professional of the Year (2024 MENA IR Awards), Insurance Professional of the Year (MENA II Awards 2025) and Best Insurance CEO Egypt (2026 from both Global Business Review and Finance Derivatives Magazine). Mr. El Zoheiry has a Diploma in non-life Insurance from Cairo University and a BA in Business Administration from Sadat Academy for Management Sciences, Faculty of Management.
